Spring arrives with the awakening of the
insect world, now to be found in and around the home. Several species
of insects have been waiting out the Winter in the attic and walls of
area homes. Wasps, ladybugs along with other types of beetles and bugs
can readily be found.
March is the time for ants to start to
swarm. Many of the common house species ranging from the smaller
"kitchen invaders" to the very large Carpenter Ant. Winged ants showing
up means a colony is near.
As April arrive through June, termites can be seen swarming from Texas to New York.
Spring also marks the arrival for
mosquito activity. The amount of Spring rain and warm temperature
may determine when they become a problem. The can start biting as early
as the end of March or may not be an issue till close to June.
